Food was good, prices were comparable to other good Mexican restaurants. Service was a little slow, but this isn't a fast food restaurant. Lots of seating, large bar area. I'll go back!

Have enjoyed lunch here twice. Great staff that is super friendly. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. Lots of options that aren't your run of the mill Mexican restaurant.

Definite A+. What positive thing can I say about this place that hasn't already been said? I came in for lunch and the place was not as busy as I was expecting it to be. It's also deceivingly large on the inside. The service was pretty attentive, friendly, and informative. No issues except when my food came out I realized I didn't have silverware. But that was a quick fix, nothing to cry about. I ordered the steak ranchero from the lunch menu. When it came out it was sizzling and looked a little small but very appetizing. Again, deceivingly small portion that ended up making me take an extra minute to finish. Perfect portion! Last but not least, and I believe, most important of Tex-Mex restaurants. Chips and salsa were on point!! Absolutely delicious! The salsa looked a little darker than usual, maybe they did something different to it, but it was just the right heat to keep a small presence of spice. Overall, I will be returning to this location for many more meals!

Wow! This place is great! I was able to mix and match the carne asada and fish tacos. They were delish! Dinner for three with a 32 oz beer and margarita and desert still only came to about $50. Amazing food and great prices! Will come every time we're in Little Rock visiting.

Let's start by saying if you order a large beer they serve you a half gallon! The salsa is spicy (loved it) I usually ask for hot sauce but not necessary here. Good size portions attentive staff food was good!

First the good: -THEY MAKE THEIR OWN FRESH TORTILLAS! That, in itself, earns a star in my book. Not many places in the area do that for us and the taste of fresh tortillas is evident. -They did good work on the decor and there is ample room to stretch out as the tables are not close to each other. -Our wait staff at 7pm on a Saturday night was superb, Quick, efficient, came often (almost too often) and helpful. They offered suggestions, one that my wife chose and liked, and the items they suggested were not the most expensive on the menu which is typically the case these days in other restaurants. -The margaritas are S-T-O-U-T. -The prices are absolutely fantastic! Sadly, to me, the food is where they lose a star. My Mexican food judging starts with the enchiladas. They are my default. If the enchiladas are good I can usually be assured almost anything else on the menu will be good. The enchiladas were equivalent to just about any other Mexican food restaurant in the area that serves the Arkansas version of Mexican food (think Cactus Jacks, El Porton, etc). I was hoping for TexMex and TexMex it was not. To me it was 'meh'. If you like the food at the places mentioned above, then you'll probably like this food. If/when we go back, I will be getting something other than the enchiladas. I'm hopeful that what I chose is tasty, otherwise we probably will not return unless we need fresh tortillas for Mexican food we fix at home.

This has been one of my "go to" Mexican restaurant. The food is some of the best I've had and the service is outstanding. I'm a high fan of their frozen margaritas!!

My friend and I love Mexican food and trying new places. Cilantro's gave us a bit of an odd experience. At first things were okay, and our food came out fairly quick. As we finished our food the restaurant began getting busier and our server didn't return to our table to take our plates or bring our check for a good half hour. When he did finally come, he brought one check and we explained that we were paying separately. Our server got angry at us and yelled "oh my gosh!" And stormed off. When he returned we gave our cards and he took them quickly so we were unable to ask about a military discount. He came back again with the transaction receipts and said he accidentally charged my card twice for both my friend and I's meal. Before we could really say anything he put the receipts on our table and was gone again. Environment and food was fine, but our service was odd and we probably won't be returning to this location. Granted, the store did get busy and I used to be a server myself so I remember that it can get overwhelming sometimes. So I give cilantro's three stars. Hopefully they hire more servers soon so that the current ones won't be so overwhelmed during the rushes.

The food is just ok, but the service is what makes this place so bad. 12 minutes after being seated our waiter showed up and took our drink order. Our waiter delivered our drinks, but forgot our cheese dip. We didn't see him again for 30 minutes. Our table of 6 just sat there out of chips, salsa or drinks. We asked other staff for help and they were friendly, but nothing changed. Our food was delivered after 50 minutes, but came out 2 plates at a time. We reminded the waiter about the cheese dip and got it. The food isn't that special, but gets the place it's only star.

Quickly becoming my favorite Mexican Resturaunt in this town. Food is excellent. Quality chips and salsa. Shrimp enchiladas are the best I've ever had!

I went with the family for lunch. I had the fish tacos, oldest had double stack enchilada, youngest had shrimp chimi, hubby had a chimi as well. We ordered queso as an appetizer. Everything was good and portions were accurate for a lunch menu. The double stack was actually quite large and she ate every drop. The queso is white and it was good however a bowl is not really enough for four people. The salsa was great and evenly temperatured. I like hot salsa but this was good. I thought I'd snapped a picture of my plate which was nicely presented, but it didn't take. I will definitely go again. We all enjoyed it and my youngest said the shrimp was perfectly cooked which of course is important!

We only had a light dinner (salad and an appetizer), but the service was exceptional and very friendly. The chips and salsa were great (crisp and spicy) and the salad and appetizer were very good. The restaurant is spacious and located in an easily accessible shopping mall. We loved it.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
